Business Spotlight: Jessica Wood

Jessica Wood is a licensed attorney and Principal at Bodker, Ramsey, Andrews, Winograd & Wildstein, P.C. She is a business litigator and trial lawyer focusing on contracts, employment, fraud, tortious interference, and trade secrets matters. Originally from Oklahoma City, Jessica was inspired to become a lawyer after seeing a portion of the trial in Silkwood v. Kerr-McGee, with Gerry Spence representing Karen Silkwood’s estate. After law school, she joined her current firm in Atlanta, GA.

Jessica views her role as carrying the case to a good conclusion by offering practical, positive results that rely on knowing the law, understanding the personalities and what’s at stake for both sides, as well as predicting how the Judge and jury will react, all while keeping her focus on her client’s end goal.

“My favorite clients understand how their disagreement became so entrenched that litigation is necessary, are capable of crafting nimble and creative solutions, understand the larger business ramifications of the case, and learn how to adjust their organization and documents to guard against recurrence of the same problem. ” Jessica loves to connect with individual stakeholders at the companies who are passionate about their work, industry, clients, and employees.

Jessica loves ‘80s new wave/pop/punk music as well as famous-people watching on the BeltLine and reading speculative fiction. She’s a member of the Anti-Defamation League, as well as the Atlanta Bar Association and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.
