What Is a Trust Supposed to Do?
Scenario 1: You die without a Trust, and your estate goes through probate
Scenario 2: You become incapacitated without a Trust
Scenario 3: Your children inherit at the wrong time or in the wrong way
Scenario 4: You Own Real Estate in Georgia Without a Trust
The most common reasons people don’t have a Trust
We hear a lot of reasons for why people don’t have a Trust yet. But the ones that come up the most are:
“I don’t have enough assets”. This is probably not true! If you own a home or have life insurance, you likely benefit from a Trust. But furthermore, if you are married, have children, or are a part of a blended family you probably need a Trust.
“I’ll do it later.” But will you? The time to plan is now. A Trust can’t help you when it’s in your head but not a legal reality.
“It’s too complicated”. I know it can feel that way, but when you work with my team we make it easy. We get to know you, your goals, and the type of legacy you want to leave to your loved ones. Then we provide you with options that will help you reach those goals. We will guide you through the process.
